Description

This course focuses on development of advanced carbine handling skills; the key focus of this course is building speed while improving the shooter's surgical accuracy. Students will be pushed harder in this course to keep them outside of their current comfort level to ensure they are always pushing themselves to be faster and more accurate. Students will engage targets from 5yards to 600 yards with their carbine and 3-25 yards with pistol. This course will be tactics and USAPSA based combining the speed and accuracy of competitive shooting, with the tactics required to win and live on the battle field. Students can expect to spend time working in pairs shooting moving and communicating both out on an open range as well as around and inside of vehicles, barricades and buildings.  Course integrates carbine and sidearm.  This is a physically and mentally demanding course - be prepared!

Required Equipment

  • Carbine chambered in 5.56 or 7.62 and standard pistol caliber.
  • Weapon mounted light for carbine and pistol
  • Weapon cleaning kit compatible with weapon
  • Minimum of 4 working magazines
  • Minimum of three pouches to support magazines on person
  • Chest Rig/Plate Carrier/Battle Belt or equivalent Med kit (blowout kit)
  • Adjustable Weapon sling with flexibility for transitions and manipulating the weapon
  • Sidearm with holster on person
  • Minimum of 3 functioning magazines for sidearm
  • Minimum of two pouches to support sidearm magazines on person
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Notepad

  • Ear Protection
  • Ballistic Eye Protection - day and night lens
  • Water reservoir - Camelback or a water hydrating device on person
