Description

Excellent course for someone with experience wanting a refresher on the basics or for those that have just acquired a carbine (private citizen, LE/Mil).  This introductory course will go over carbine safety, familiarization of the carbine and optics.  We will focus on the basics that will provide an excellent platform to grow from and build confidence in the operation of your carbine.

Required Equipment

  • Carbine chambered in 5.56, 5.45, or 7.62 Spare weapon system recommended.
  • Weapon cleaning kit compatible with weapon
  • Minimum of 4 working magazines
  • Minimum of two pouches to support magazines on person - Chest Rig/Plate Carrier/Battle Belt or equivalent
  • Adjustable Weapon sling with flexibility for transitions and manipulating the weapon
  • Appropriate footwear
  • Notepad

  • Ear Protection

  • Water reservoir
  • Baseball Cap

Recommended Equipment

  • Camelback or a water hydrating device on person

Food & Water

Recommended 2 gallons of water per day, Students will not be released for lunch. Enough food to support lunch and a day of shooting should be carried in each day
