Description

The Combat Lifesaver is a non-medical Soldier who provides lifesaving measures as a secondary mission as his/her primary (combat) mission allows. The Combat Lifesaver may also assist the combat medic in providing care and preparing casualties for evacuation when the Combat Lifesaver has no other combat duties to perform. The Soldiers will be expected to pass both a 40 question written test, as well as a practical evaluation.

The Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) course introduces evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield. NAEMT conducts TCCC courses under the auspices of its PHTLS (PreHospital Trauma Life Support) program, the recognized world leader in prehospital trauma education. The course is designed for combat EMS/military personnel, including medics, corpsmen, and pararescue personnel deploying in support of combat operations/casualty care.

Both CLS/TCC evolutions will provide real world scenario's in a environment of controlled chaos.
